Image Upload Error

Hi,

In creating a post I would like to upload an image to be viewed inline. I try to upload but it gives me an error of being over the legal limit of 50MB, however the summary says I have 44 images with a total 5.9MB used.

As a side note, I would love the system to just allow me to copy past an image into this editor without needing to first save and then upload.

Could it be that the 50 MB limit applies to the uncompressed image data? I can imagine that 5.9 MB of compressed images will blow way past that.
