Hello, I am fairly new to Igor and i am having trouble with displaying the equation of a line and a graph. I can create the coefficents no problem but i was wondering if there was an easy way to put this text on to a graph. Any help would be great.
If you want a slick math equation you will need to create it in another program, like MathType, and you can then paste it into the drawing layer of a graph.
If you want a bare-bones computerese equation it is easy to create as an annotation.
That is easy.
Go to Analysis => Curve Fitting (Choose the function, Waves, etc.) => On the same window, go to Output Options (HERE SELECT "Add Textbox to Graph" and you have some options to what you want to include in "Textbox Preferences"). And DO IT... Hope this helps.
