Loading TIA files (.emi and .ser)

Hello, we are working on analyses of microscopic images acquired with an FEI Tecnai transmission electron microscope system. The TIA software (TEM Imaging & Analysis) is used in our system, and data are recorded in files such as “xxx.emi” and “xxx.ser”.
We are very happy if we can read these TIA-dedicated files (image data and/or metadata) directly into Igor Pro experiments. We are looking for someone who has experiences on this topic.
Thank you.
Hi,
I have done something similar with a different vendor in the past. Could you share a sample of each file?

I used to work with Tecnai image series, mostly from STEM mode, and I found it worked decently to use ImageJ as an intermediary to convert the images into more common formats. There is an ImageJ plugin https://imagej.nih.gov/ij/plugins/tia-reader.html that you can use to make a batch conversion macro. I think if you convert to TIF format, it even keeps some of the metadata like the image scaling.

I thank you Andy. In attached Zip file, .emi and .ser files of the same image are packed.
We don't have files with smaller size...
This is 1024 x 1024 pixes, 32 bit image data. Scale is 2.21 um x 2.21 um.

Hi, thank you for the information on ImageJ. The image scaling is the most important metadata. Is it possible to embed scale information into TIF???

In case this means that you are searching for someone doing it for you, https://www.wavemetrics.com/products/thirdparty/developers has a list of people doing consulting for IP. Disclaimer: We are the first on that list.
And I think @hegedus should be on that list as well.
