IGOR and the Microsoft .NET framework

Some of the people in our lab want a more rigorous programming interface to IGOR using VB.NET or C#. Does anyone have experience in communicating with IGOR using .NET?

I'm not sure, but I think you can control an ActiveX Automation server from VB.NET or C#. Igor can play the role of ActiveX Automation Server. See "Igor Pro Folder\Miscellaneous\Windows Automation\Automation Server.ihf".
