emf-files from graphs in IGOR 6
kangaroo
is anybody aware of possible changes made in the creation routine for .emf files (or .wmf) in IGOR 6?
I like to use them in openoffice, as I prefer vector graphs in presentations. However the labelling of the vertical axis will come out weird after pasting the plot into openoffice since I upgraded to IGOR 6. I'm not sure if it is actually IGOR causing the problem but I tried with emf-files I created from the same IGOR experiment with IGOR 5 and they look still ok after pasting into my OO-presentation. I tried with other graph formats but they are usually lower quality and/or features such as grids may not come out very well on them.
I typically find that exporting graphics as .pdf files works very well, especially when I'm linking/importing them in another vector graphics program, such as Illustrator or InDesign. I haven't used OO-presentation so can't comment on the best format for that application.

There are not many changes regarding emf between Igor Pro 5 and 6 (but 6.1 does use some new code.) So I don't know why there would be a difference.
It is possible this is a font issue and you might try a different font, making sure it is TrueType.
Also, try pasting the emf back into Igor (in a pagelayout for example.) If it looks good there then it is the other program that is at fault because Igor just calls the Window OS to draw the emf and does not attempt to interpret it otherwise.
