tiff 32 bit with IGOR
puppone
In the manual it's said that IGOR support tiff images up to 24 bit, creating 3d waves.
I tried to load some 32 bit images, it's loading them as 2D waves. I am worried that I am losing information.
You are not specifying what kind of 32 bit tiff files you have: SP float per pixel or RGBA (8-bits-per-channel) per pixel.
If you are loading SP-float images they will be loaded as 2D waves. If you are loading RGBA images they will be loaded as 3D waves (without the alpha).
If you are not sure about the exact format of your images you can try loading them with the /RAT flag and then check tags 258 (BITSPERSAMPLE) and 277 (SAMPLESPERPIXEL). The corresponding values are shown in the last column of T_Tags.
