I read in this forum and the manual that there some issues with the installation of SDK and/or PSDK with the older version Visual C++ 2005 Express (VC 8). However, reading the Microsoft web-pages I go the impression that PSDK is not supported anymore. Therefore, I am wondering if someone has experience with the XOP Toolkit and the current version of Visual C++ 2008 Express (VC 9)?
I use VC9 and it works well. Thankfully this time the whizzkids at Microsoft (who normally can't fight their way out of a wet paper bag) decided to include all the required headerfiles, etc, with the VC9 distro. It is no longer necessary to download the PSDK as VC9 works out of the box.
Still, for a better development experience it's worth transitioning to OS X and Xcode.
