Hi- I need to create a 3D scatter plot with cylindrical markers that are of definite size and orientation. I have specified the size but the orientation data is stored in a separate wave (it contains the direction cosines of the particles). The required wave is not appearing in the list. Does anybody know what are the proper parameters for the rotation that should be there in a wave for it to appear in the list? Please see the attached image.
If the rotation wave does not appear in the popup menu it is more than likely because it does not have the correct dimensions. Note that the rotation wave must specify rotation (in degrees) about a normalized vector (rotation axis). This means that your rotation wave is 2D wave that should have N rows by 4 columns, where N is the number of scatter points.
You can find an example experiment with a rotation wave under File Menu->Example Experiments->Visualization->Advanced->Scatter Arrows.

I hope this helps,
