including erros when fitting

Hello everyone,

i can't find any way to include my errors (wssr, esd..) when i fit to experimental data. Also, how do i produce error-beams in a graph?
I'm currently coping with four different softwares for fitting, plotting, ... surely igor must be able to do anything sigmaplot or excel or any standard fitting-software can do..?

It sounds like you want to include weighting in your fits. Read about how to do that by executing this line on Igor's command line:

DisplayHelpTopic "Weighting"

You may benefit from reading the Curve Fitting chapter in the Igor Manual, User's Guide Part 2.

Read about error bars on graphs with this command:

DisplayHelpTopic "Error Bars"

It would probably be a good idea, if you haven't done it yet, to go through the Guided Tour, which takes two or three hours, but will save time in the long run by introducing you to the way Igor thinks. Use this command:

DisplayHelpTopic "Getting Started"
