Editable Igor Pro graph exported to Powerpoint (this is for Mac versions of both software).
gravityhomer
Now I am working on a Mac OS 10.6 with the Mac version of Igor Pro and the Mac version of Powerpoint (latest versions of each). The export as .emf or .wmf seems to be gone. So I'm not sure how to get graphs into powerpoint in a way that any editing can be done. Is this option gone to me now?
While doing a search here I saw one option where you save the graph as a copy as a .pxp, and then this file can be inserted as an object in powerpoint that sits off slide and can be edited and pasted into the powerpoint slide. Not bad, but wondering if there is another option.
Thanks!
This is possible because PowerPoint understands the internals of EMF which is a Microsoft Windows-specific graphics format.
Because EMF is a Windows format, Igor can not generate it on Macintosh.
Yes, unless Microsoft decides to better-support EPS or PDF. But Microsoft would not want to do that because it would strengthen Adobe (creator of EMF and PDF).
