Outliers present in Gizmo Surface
proland
I am new to using Gizmo and I am currently trying to create a 3D plot of XYZ data in Igor Pro 6.1. The XY coordinates are locations on a thin film while the Z data corresponds to transmitted light intensity (a measure of film thickness). Following the tutorial video, I used imageinterpolate to create a surface which I can append to Gizmo. However, this surface seems to have alot of outlying data points (see the attached experiment file).
My end goal is to create a 3D plot which represents the film thickness. Any advice on how to improve the quality of the surface image?
Also, is there a way to "fill" the area below the surface with a constant color? This isn't necessary but will make my graph look like the film itself.
Thanks,
Before you continue with this experiment I recommend that you update your version of IGOR to the very latest release. When you have done that, open the experiment and re-execute:
imageinterpolate/s={1, .02, 13, 1, .02, 13} voronoi triple
In my version of IGOR the results are nice and smooth.
If you run into any problem send your experiment to support@wavemetrics.com.
