Create Violin / Box plot WITHOUT data points from start
hegedus
Hi,
Doing some analysis and each wave has a large number of data points (80,000-100,000) and I would like to compare the waves in violin or box plot. The large number of data points completely chokes IP8 (which surprises me) nothing but spinning disks. In principle I don't need to see the data points, but thus far it looks like I need to create a graph first with them before I can turn them off via modifyBoxPlot or modifyViolinPlot.
How do I create the plots initially without the data points displayed?
Andy
Hi,
I found a work around using the old box plot procedures.
Windows>New>Packages>Box Plot It gives a warning about the features being replaced with built in methods in IP8. Just dismiss and continue.

All of a sudden everyone is making box or violin plots with lots of points! In fact, if you get the latest nightly build, this performance problem has been fixed.
