I have added syntax highlighting for Igor Pro on github and I fear that the merge gets rejected because there is not much demand for that. I have all my Igor Projects hosted on github and I would really be sad if that happens.

So I want to encourage you to hit the *hooray button* beneath the post to give some feedback for the maintainers that this actually a wanted feature.

Thanks for the responses on github. I was also able to add get Igor Pro colors for the github highlighter. Fingers crossed, they will accept it.

The PR was accepted. Igor colors will be added to github on the next release cycle with linguist v7.6.0 which should be somewhat later this month. Thanks for the feedback thumbs on the post.
