Create a Movie error

When trying to make a movie using the 'gizmo' system from a 3D scatter plot graph (Gizmo > Create a movie...), I keep getting a blank temp movie screen and when I click 'close movie' the error: 'system error #-2014'

It doesn't seem to matter what type of compression I select. What's going on? (OSX 10.5.8, latest Igor download)

The Gizmo help file and reference don't appear to mention movies.

I am presuming it is due to the absence of Apple Quicktime Pro from my machine? Would be good to have this problem intercepted in Gizmo. The only mention of "Apple Quicktime" (not pro) is on p1093 of the manual.

-2014 is a Macintosh system error that means "invalidDuration".

I believe you are getting that error because you did not append any frames to the movie. Make sure to click Append Rotation Frames in the Gizmo Movie control panel before clicking Close Movie.

Making a movie does not require QuickTime Pro.
