Modify Graph with text markers -- rotation at arbitrary angle

The help file for modifying graph traces using text markers seems to indicate that markers can be rotated at an arbitrary angle. In practice, I'm finding that the text is plotted only at discrete angles 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees. Am I missing some subtlety in the command usage or am I misinterpreting the syntax? The dialog for modify traces/text markers only permits rotations of the discrete angles.

I am using IP 6.38 on Win7 .

Help fie info on ModifyGraph:

textMarker={<char or wave>,font,style,rot,just,xOffset,yOffset}
rot is a text rotation between -360 and 360 degrees.

I do have IP7, but have to work in IP6 on this project for a while yet, until I have a chance to learn to use Gizmo.

Do you know if the ModifyGraph command in IP6 has the same limitation wrt marker text rotation as does the dialog?

Thanks for the info on IP7... I wondered about that.
