color gradient in layout tool

Dear All,
I am looking for some more functions in the layout. It is really annoying to have very less feature. I need to make a image with advanced look or at least somewhat modern. I found that in layout drawing tool has only basic circle and square shapes. Although one can create other shapes using freehand poly, however, having more ready to use shapes would speed up and save time, really a lot. I really surprise that how only with two basic structure it is possible to create present day scientific and engineering figures. Anyway, somehow created decent looking fat arrow and other shapes. But, I could not create color gradient. Are there any way to include color gradient. Thanks in advance for your interest.

Look into the Layout's Packages menu for "Tint Layout"

Firstly, thanks for your post. I am interested to have color gradients only within the shapes. Tint Layout works nice as background or for selected region of interest. I go through the help file and still missing a way to include gradients inside shapes. Am I missed something?
