I have recently started playing around with the IGOR GIS.xop. I want to know how to fill images similar to the 2008 election results shown on the website:

Check out the "Creating an Underlay Image from Polygons" section of the IgorGIS help topic. Type the following into your command window:

DisplayHelpTopic "Creating an Underlay Image from Polygons"

There are some public domain basic geographic data already loaded into Igor experiments at the following web site:

http://www.wavemetrics.net/Downloads/IgorGIS/GISData/
