Fitting within polar plot

Hello,

I have created a polar plot containing polarized Raman intensities as a function of incident light polarization using the "Polar graph" function from the menu.

However, I don't know how to fit the data to, for example, a Cosine function.
The curve fitting dialogs assume that the data is in cartesian coordinates and do not fit the polar coordinate data.

Can someone tell me how to tackle this?

You'll need to create a polar coordinate copy of your data.

I presume you have a fitting function in the form of R = f(theta). You should be able to fit the data, transformed to polar coordinates, to a function of that form. The polar plot must have such a transformed copy of your data. You would have to add the fit curve to the polar plot manually after the fit was done.
