Inclusion of manual Colortable in Igors Colortables
AskAl
I have made a couple of personalised colourtabs and I was wondering if there is a way to include them in Igor's Colourtables so that I don't have to make a scaled colortab for each individual image I want to use it for. I have searched through the forum but I haven't seen this topic brought up anywhere else, sorry if I did miss it though.
Many thanks
Until then, you'll need to use copies of your color index wave for each image.

That is good to hear.
Please allow me a last question then. I guess it might be challenging to include a user defined color wave in the color-table menu, but what about modifying/replacing a color-table with a user defined one. Would this be somehow possible?
Again many thanks

In Igor 7, yes. Not so much in Igor 6, where you'll need to continue using color index waves.

Yes, Igor 7 provides "color table waves", which function just like color index waves except that the X scaling is ignored, which means the colors can be used to represent any range of data, not just the range covered by the X range of a color index wave.
Igor 7.01 shipped with a bunch of pre-defined "manual" color table waves in the Igor Pro Folder/Color Table Waves subfolder.
I posted a pair of color table wave articles on the igorpro.net blog:
