pxp file structure for programming?

Are there any resources for the pxp file structure to allow programmers to create import/export functions in other programs so they will write to this structure? I have several projects I am working on in Objective-C and would like to be able to handle data I have in pxp files without first opening them in Igor and then exporting content as text or other more universal data types.
