Movie: Tweaking a Thorlabs optical translation stage
This movie displays the signal for two separate detector channels (different colors) as a function of position of an optic. As the user manually moves a Thorlabs optical translation stage via a hardware switch, Igor reads the position of the stage "on the fly" with the MGMotor XOP. Igor then acquires data from a Tektronics oscilloscope via NIGPIB XOP, does some fitting, and updates the graph. The older points fade out [Intensity as f(z)]. This routine is used for quickly finding the perfect place to run an experiment, then control of the stage position is handed over to Igor to do a computer-controlled high-resolution scan.
