Graphing in polar coordinates

Right now polar plotting is done by converting the polar data into cartesian coordinates, and then drawing a circular graphic to imitate a polar axis. To plot the data, waves have to be created in a series of new folders, which are named generically, and it makes it hard to track the data from the polar plot back to its original source. Putting graphs into a layout for making a figure is a huge pain, because resizing the source graph window changes the dimensions of the graph inside the layout. This doesn't happen for a standard graph. So if I want a series of polar graphs to have exactly the same dimensions on the layout, I have to make sure their source graph windows are exactly the same dimensions. It would be really great to just have polar coordinates work natively somehow to avoid all this hassle.
