I would like to "second" some of the suggestions made in this forum to have the ability to add custom shortcuts for common tasks. In particular, I find myself wishing for several basic editing shortcuts in the command buffer, notebooks, and procedure windows so I don't have to take my hands away from the keyboard's "home row" so much while editing. In other applications I use, for example, I can delete the previous word (commonly CTRL+BACKSPACE), jump to the beginning or end of the current line without the arrow keys (e.g., CTRL+A and CTRL+E), and navigate to the previous or next line--again, without arrow keys--(e.g., CTRL+P and CTRL+N). I'm aware that some of these examples are already defined for other tasks in IGOR, hence my desire to also change existing shortcuts to my liking.
