Windows OS error 193 followed by HDF Browser error.
LaMP
On starting IGOR (v6.37), I get a HDF-64.xopError including the text "Window OS error of an unknown nature (Windows OS error code 193). This error is then followed by a Procedure scan error:
"Unknow /inappropriate name or symbol", Error in HDF Brower. ipf?
#If (HDF5Libraryinfo (0) < = 010805) //If you get an error here, you need HDF5XOP 1.15 or later.
The HDF browser file is in the correct folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\WaveMetrics\Igor Pro Folder\WaveMetrics Procedures\File Input Output.
I reinstalled IGOR but get the same message.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Windows error code 193 is "ERROR_BAD_EXE_FORMAT - <file> is not a valid Win32 application".
Execute this for instructions on activating the HDF5 XOP:
DisplayHelpTopic "Installing The HDF5 Package"
Make sure that you have only one HDF5-64.xop file activated, that it is the one in your "Igor Pro Folder\More Extensions (64-bit)\File Loaders" folder, and that you are running the 64-bit version of Igor.

Thank you for the quick response. I think I was not running the 64 bit version.
Now I have made that change, I still get the Window error code 193, and then I get a different error for the HDF file.
HDF5-64Error
The version of HDF5 XOP requires IGOR 7 or later.
XOP can't initialize itself
Error in "procedurefile.ipf. procedurefile_input_HDF_file
"HDF5createfilte/Z/O file_ID as temp_str
Thanks again

It sounds like you still have an incorrect XOP activated for the version of Igor that you are running.
