USB Serial Port Adapter for use with Mac OS X
hegedus
I have a Belkin USB-Serial Port adapter I am trying to get to work. Belkin didn't have OS X drivers, but there was one on the Apple site.
The device is showing up in the system profiler:
Composite Device:
Product ID: 0x0109
Vendor ID: 0x050d (Belkin Corporation)
Version: 1.02
Serial Number: 180925
Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: Belkin USB PDA Adapter
Location ID: 0x06200000
Current Available (mA): 500
Current Required (mA): 100
Within Igor when I try to connect to a Keithley 2420 via VDT2
I get these errors:
VDT error: Error opening serial port "1". [ Unix error 2: "No such file or directory" ]
VDT error: Error opening serial port "2". [ Unix error 2: "No such file or directory" ]
Any guidance on where I go from here to resolve the "failure to communicate".
Thanks
Andy
