Thermo-Galactic SPC file format - media input

I am currently using the tgspcread function in MATLAB to extract header and data columns from binary SPC files, which are created on a Jobin Yvon fluorometer. How would I go about learning a SPC file's binary parameters so that I can use the Load General Binary dialog in Igor?

I have tried other "IR" input scripts on file exchange to no avail.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have a procedure (based on a Grams File reader that was provided some time ago by Hjalti Skulason) for reading Fluorolog SPC files. Let me know if you are interested and I can send it. I also may be able to dig up a specification on the file format.
