SndLoadWave - Internal Error: How could this have happened?
joerg.kunze
A am encountering a mysterious error. Whenever I try to load a sound wave, e.g. with the command
SndLoadWave/O Snd, "C:Temp:I.wav"
I get an error message window with the text: "Internal Error: How could this have happened?"
I use a 64 bit Windows system, Igor Pro 6.37 and the latest Quicktime 7 installation. The XOP appears to be installed correctly. The
SndSaveWav
command works with no problem. I have tried to load externally created .mp3 or .wav files and also Igor-created .wav files. They all yield the same error message. Who can help?
Many thanks,
Joerg.
On Windows (only), SndLoadSaveWave.xop requires that the SndLoadSaveWaveQT.dll be in the same folder as the .xop file.
Placing a shortcut to the .xop file in the Igor Extensions folder leaves the .xop file in the correct relation to the .dll file.
This will eliminate the admittedly too-vague error message.
