chozo How about using the unicode character: φ Or is that somehow not possible in your use case? Log in or register to post comments March 20, 2023 at 08:41 am - Permalink
marcel gateau I want to use this character within a longer Latex expression, that's why I need the Latex version of it. Log in or register to post comments March 20, 2023 at 11:14 am - Permalink
jjweimer Are you on macOS or Windows? If the former, I suggest using LaTeXiT https://www.chachatelier.fr/latexit/. Create the expression. Copy it as a PNG. Paste it into a draw layer. Log in or register to post comments March 20, 2023 at 12:47 pm - Permalink

In reply to I want to use this character… by marcel gateau JimProuty I want to use this character within a longer Latex expression, that's why I need the Latex version of it. You can use regular unicode characters in a LaTeX expression in Igor. Just copy it from the Character Map or Special Characters dialog. JimProuty I was wrong about regular unicode characters *in* a LaTeX (WMTEX) expression; they aren't recognized. Igor 9.02B01's next Nightly Build and release will recognize all of the \var this and that Greek characters. Whether the fonts employed actually *have* those glyphs is another matter.
