Could someone tell me how to correctly save an Igor experiment ? My files sizes are 900 Mb, I assume this isn't typical and I'm saving something I shouldn't be ?
In Windows, sometimes I look at the Task Manager to see how much memory Igor is using, which is roughly correlated with the size of the file that will be saved. I also use this function that I wrote, which helps me locate the big waves I've forgotten about, and manually delete them.
Check your pictures using Misc->Pictures.
Check your packed notebook files which could have huge graphics pasted into them.
XOPs can save data in experiments.
If you can't figure it out, try saving as an unpacked experiment file using File->Save Experiment As. Then look at the individually-saved files.
