Fill Plot covering up axes

Sorry if this is a recent repeat: I feel like I've seen the solution before but I'm not finding it or figuring it out.

I'm trying to make a plot with zero-crossing axes and "shaded areas" by using a fill to next plot, but the shading completely covers some of the axis information (ticks, tick labels etc.) Is there a way to make the fill transparent, or switch the relative order of the trace and axes layers?
1) If you use the Fill to Next Mode, there are options for changing the opacity of the fill right beneath the Mode drop down.

2 ) Otherwise, I suppose you can try changing the color of the axis and tick labels from Modify Axis Window ( double click Axis for window)
