I've been trying to understand this concept and am just not getting it. I set up this very small test experiment with some test data to help describe and hopefully have someone help me understand how scaling works. Problem: I have two sets of data collected during the same time interval but at different collection frequencies. One set of data is at 1 sample per second and the other is at one sample every 3 seconds. In the real experiment there are up to 8 data streams. What I would like to do is place the cursors on one of the plots and perform wavestat calculations on all of the waves without having to move the cursors. This is not possible because the 1 sec and 3 sec waves have a different number of points. I'm told that I have to use scaling but I cannot figure out how to do it and what I'm supposed to be trying to do. 1. Does scaling use the 3 sec time to select the 1 sec data point that corresponds to that time? 2. Could someone write and explain what is actually happening when scaling is done, perhaps by writing/using a function or the SetScale and providing comments for each line so I can understand when and why to use this and what is actually happening to the waves or what and why waves are being created. I've looked at the "SETSCALE" help topic and it's not very helpful for a new user like myself. Any help is much appreciated.
